Image Optimization

Starlight inherits Astro’s asset pipeline. Imported local images provide dimensions and can use Astro’s Image component; supported raster inputs can be resized and converted at build time for static deployment.

MDX content flows through Starlight to static HTML

This live asset is SVG, so Astro preserves it as vector content instead of pretending to perform raster conversion. Remote images require explicit configuration, and files in public/ are copied as-is rather than optimized.
