Running Locally

Requirement

  • Bun 1.3.14 or newer

Bun is used for dependency installation and as the runtime for every Astro CLI command in this sample.

Install and develop

Section titled “Install and develop”
Terminal window
bun install
bun run dev

Astro serves the configured base path at http://localhost:4321/docfw-cmp/starlight/en/.

Build and preview

Section titled “Build and preview”
Terminal window
bun run build
bun run preview

The static output is written to dist/. Pagefind indexing runs as part of the Starlight production build, so search results are available after build, not in the development server.
